LEEDS United captain Liam Cooper is back home with his family - but cannot wait for this summer's Euros with Scotland.

Cooper started Scotland's penultimate warm-up game against the Netherlands in Portugal on Wednesday night and played 62 minutes as Steve Clarke's side left the Algarve with a 2-2 draw.

Seven players missed the tie after after the group were found to have been in general proximity of John Fleck who had returned a positive test for Covid-19 the previous day.

David Marshall, Stephen O'Donnell, Nathan Patterson, Grant Hanley, John McGinn and Che Adams joined Fleck in missing the fixture despite having tested negative multiple times.

Hampden bosses took the move to be ultra cautious and the absent players apart from Fleck then returned for Sunday's final Euros warm-up match against Luxembourg in which an Adams strike sealed a 1-0 victory.

Cooper was not involved and not even on the bench but the Whites skipper took to social media on Sunday night to say it was now all systems go for the Euros.

"Prep Done!" said Cooper, writing on his Instagram page.

"Home to the family for a couple of days then the fun starts next week. Can’t wait."
