A new artificial cricket wicket is to be laid on Soldiers Field at Roundhay Park.
The old wicket, which was synthetic carpet, is worn out and residents had voiced concerns.

So the Inner East and Inner North East Area Committees of the city council are providing £15,000 funding to lay a new wicket.

It is for informal use by adults and children, not for formal teams who have use of the grass oval near Hill 60.
