North Leeds CC 2nds put on a convincing and professional performance for an away day victory at Adel.
Put into bat on a mossy deck, apprehensive with the injury of The pizza boy!!

26 overs later wer'e sat pretty on 175 for 1 oh and 2!!.Loose bowling and poor fielding helping Paul Philips to an unbeaten maiden ton (great knock PP) and Westy to 80.

20ish for the Plums and Liam in the teens saw us through to 253 for 3 in 38 overs! Half a job well done!

After a brief observation of the obvious ( bowl straight, stop it and catch it) Abid and The Laq did exactly that and at 21 for 0 off 8, any chance of Adel challenging our total had poofed away into the Adel skyline.

The opposition skipper chanced his arm with a gutsy 43, but he ulfilled his suicide wishes as Mr P picked up, closed his eyes, chucked and hit and sent him for an early shower!!

Abid's 2 for 30 in 15 was the epitamy of control.

Fadi Laq did not bowl a single No Ball! Good job 2 for 44 off 12

Plums just managed an average with 1 for 1 off 4.

With a full over allowance, we surely would have turned the screw for all 6 points.A 5-1 win was great reward for a thoroughly convincing and professional performance.

Keep it going boys!
