Hard work and determination were key as North East Leeds triumphed in the quarter final of the Garforth Junior Football League Supplementary Cup.

North East Leeds firmly secured their place in the semi-final of the Garforth Junior League's Supplementary Cup. This tremendous achievement was accomplished by sheer hard work and determination from the whole team.

However we still managed to take the lead within 46 seconds following a corner from captain Josh Baggott which found the back of the net.
North East Leeds continued to press for goals but as in previous fixtures against Old Mods they found their keeper hard to beat.
The team scored a deserved second goal on 28 minutes after Markel Henry was put through in a one on one situation and he finished exquisitely, scooping the ball over the keeper and then tapped it into the net.
North East Leeds took a 2-0 lead at half time and the players were reminded to keep their concentration levels and keep working hard.
Old Mods pulled one back within two minutes of the re-start which gave them hope creating a tense atmosphere within our team for the next ten minutes or so.
The next goal was going to be crucial and it was to be North East Leeds who scored it.
After some good work from Markel, the ball came loose in the area where Taf Mumbanya powered the ball home to make the score 3-1.
The game was effectively sealed two minutes later after an excellent individual goal by Josh after an amazing run and a superb finish.
This was the the biggest game since the club was formed in September.
Steve Waide, North East Leeds manager, said: "This was the the biggest game since the club was formed in September.
"It's a remarkable achievement and full credit should be given to the player's outstanding attitude and hard work. This was not an easy draw against a good Old Mods team who we failed to beat in the league which makes the victory all the more impressive.
"There were excellent performances throughout the team however man of the match was awarded to Dom Roberto who was superb at right back displaying some excellent tackling coupled with great hard work and determination."
He added: "Well done to everyone on your fantastic vicotry - into the semi-finals we go!"
