We continued to control the game and had a few half chances but still took a comfortable 2-0 lead in at half time.
We continued the second half in exactly the same vane and within five minutes of the restart we were three up after a superb long range effort from Josh flew into the top corner leaving their keeper with no chance.
This effectively sealed the game and our hopes of promotion were very much alive. On 46 minutes Oliver sealed a superb hat-trick with a long range dipping effort which found its way in to the top corner and the standard of performance just kept going. We found ourselves 5-0 up on 56 minutes after Taf who had been displaying excellent skill and dribbling all day scored a deserved goal, taking on at least 4 players before rounding the keeper and walking the ball over the line, a superb individual goal.
With only a minute to go we finished the scoring this time through Markel who took the keeper by surprise with an excellent early finish on the turn.
The game finished 6-0, an unbelievable effort against an excellent team. I cannot express how proud I was today and particularly in the last 5 or 6 games we have shown what an excellent team we are and how far we have come this season. The Menston manager summed it up by saying 'I bet you wished you were playing like that at the beginning of the season' - if we had we would have won this league but what we have achieved this season is phenominal and a credit to the players. Well done!
