The team knew the game was going to be extremely hard with Ossett Town playing two leagues above us however we started brilliantly.

We worked extremely hard and created chances but were unable to convert any of them into goals. We competed and matched Ossett which was extremely pleasing however on 17 minutes Ossett took the lead after an excellently delivered corner was headed goalwards and scrambled into our goal. Within one minute we were 2-0 down after a catalogue of errors at the back was punished by an excellent long range lob.

We continued to work hard and tried in vein to pull a goal back before half-time but it wasn't to be and we went in 2-0 down which was extremely harsh on us but errors had cost us.

We started the second half in much the same way but on 31 minutes we were 3-0 down after a ball over the top was latched onto and calmly finished past Trust Ncube. We had a few chances to pull a goal back but their keeper was outstanding and we just couldn't beat him. We conceded a fourth on 51 minutes again from a corner, which effectively sealed the game and Ossett's place in the final.

Ossett simply had the edge in all areas of the pitch, they had pace, strength and generally were physically stronger coupled with some very good footballers. We matched their endeavour and hard work and 4-0 was very flattering towards them, which even their manager commented upon. We have now seen where we need to be to reach the top division and where we need to improve.

It was always going to be a stern test and it proved to be the case but we were all extremely proud of the effort, attitude and how far we have come this year.

Man-of-the-match was once more awarded to Billy Clarke whom despite being the smallest man on the pitch won everything in the tackle, covered superbly and cleared his lines when needed.

Finally Good Luck to Ossett Town in the final. We are sure they will do well.

The Squad: Trust Ncube, Dom Roberto, Billy Clarke, Stephen Carr, Michael Chukwu, Lawrence Roberts, Josh Baggott, Declan Denison, Taf Mumbanya, Aiden Yaffe, Markel Henry, Oliver Batley
