Hundreds of people turned out to sing carols around Oakwood's Christmas tree.
It was the first in a series of community carol singing events organised over Christmas by St John's Church and Roundhay Methodists.

Tea and mince pies were served afterwards Roundhay Methodist Church.

And dozens of people hung a a star on the tree in memory of a loved one with donations going to NCH children's charity.
