Three girls from the same Roundhay dance school have won places at some of the UK's top performing arts colleges.
Last year student Katie Wilson hit the headlines after her mum Judy sold her house to pay the fees after she was offered a place at the prestigious Italia Conti theatre school in London.

Now two more students from the Footloose Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts in Roundhay have followed in her footsteps.

Stephanie Booth, 20, has been offered a place at Italia Conti and the Laine Theatre Art School, Surrey and Francesca Kelly, 18, from Roundhay, has won a place at the SLP College, Garforth, Leeds.

Each beat thousands of other applicants from across the UK and abroad to clinch their places.

Stef who has recorded a CD with Katie, and is selling it to raise money to pay for fees, said: "I am so pleased to have been offered places at both schools. If you look at any West End programme, you will see them mentioned loads.

"I would love to work in the West End, my parents are over the moon."

Frankie said: "I am really looking forward to it. It's what I want to do. I'd just like to thank my mum, dad and gran for paying my fees and Katie Bold, the principal at Footloose, for pushing me so hard and making sure we got it right."

Meanwhile, Katie Wilson has been offered the chance to remain at Italia Conti for another two years.

Katie Bold, principal at the dance school, said: "I went to see Katie Wilson in a show in London and it was one of my proudest moments.

"For that to inspire other pupils to follow their dreams and to be offered places at some of the top schools in the country is outstanding for me, the school and them.

"It shows to the rest of the pupils that it is possible and it's a lovely compliment to see people recognise the hard work they do at our dance school."

Former Italia Conti students include: Sharon Osborne, Anthony Newley, Claire Sweeney and Patsy Kensit; whilst alumni from Laine's include Victoria Beckham; Hayley Tamaddon (Delilah Dingle of Emmerdale) and Gerrard McCarthy (Kris Fisher of Hollyoaks)

Stephanie's CD, So Close Yet So Far, is available to buy from: www.myspace.co.uk/ktstef
