Tomlinson junior set to light up Roundhay Park bonfire

The son of inspirational mum Jane Tomlinson, will have the special honour of lighting the Roundhay bonfire with Councillor Bill Hyde. Click here for more details.
After he was repeatedly nominated by Magic 828 listeners in the 'light the Roundhay Bonfire competition', judges pickedhimfor the honour.

Steven, said: "I can't wait to light the Roundhay bonfire. I will be alright doing it and will be there on
November 5."

His mum Jane, who raised £1.8m for charity, fought cancer for seven years.

The 43-year-old mum-of-three died at St Gemma's Hospice on September 3, with husband, Mike, and children, Suzanne, Rebecca and Steven, by her bedside.

Glenn Pinder, breakfast presenter for Magic 828, who are sponsors of the Leeds City Council organised event, said: "I'm so looking forward to bringing Steven on stage to light the bonfire, so thanks to all the Magic 828 listeners who picked up the phone and nominated the lad – it's going to be a brilliant night for all."
