Some 150 people put on their nightwear a few hours early in Roundhay Park. Click here for more details.
They donned pyjamas and then walked around the parkland in aid of charity.

They were sponsored for a minimum of £50 per family to help one of the leading children's cancer charities, CLIC Sargent.

"It was a nice surprise that so many wore pyjamas," said organiser Dee Richardson.

"I thought many would chicken out.

"One group of ladies had obviously all bought the same pair of pink pyjamas.

One heavily pregnant woman wore a T-shirt which said: 'I'm a yummy mummy' – and she was.

"She looked fantastic in her pink and white check pyjamas.

"We had two routes – 1km for little legs and 5kkm for those who wanted more of a challenge.

"Most people who completed the shorter walk went on to do the second.

"The weather was just right for the occasion and we hope to make the pyjama walk an annual event."
