St. Gemma's Hospice will be holding their annual fun run at Roundhay Park on Saturday. Click here for full details.
A five mile run for adults, taking them on a fully marshalled route through beautiful surroundings, will begin at 10am.

We will also be holding a one mile fun run for children taking place later in the day, with every child being awarded their very own medal on completing the race.

The event, which is co-organised by St. Theresa's AC and kindly supported by Complete Runner, Ilkley, costs £6 to enter in advance or £7 on the day.

Registration begins at 9.15am onwards. Entry for juniors under 14 is £3. All proceeds raised from the run are in aid of St. Gemma's Hospice.

Fundraising Assistant Rebecca Binks said: "The five mile fun run is a single lap route through Roundhay Park and is open to runners of all ages and abilities."

Rebecca added: "This is a great way to support your local Hospice and we do hope that you will be able to join us on the day, whether you are running for fun, training or aiming to achieve a personal best.

"Run with family, friends or colleagues and raise as much as you can in sponsorship for a fantastic cause!"

St Gemma's Hospice, based in Moortown, provides specialist medical and nursing care for local people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, and support for their families too.

Care provided is free of charge to patients and their families so
St Gemma's relies on donations and local fundraising initiatives in the community.
