There are delays on the M621 anti-clockwise after a vehicle fire.
Lane one has been closed on the main carriageway from J6 for Belle Isle to J5 for Tunstall.
The entry slip road has also been fully closed, Highways England said.
West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit and traffic officers are on the scene.
The vehicle is due to be recovered shortly, Highways England said.
