Roundhay ward councillor and prospective Parliamentary candidate Matthew Lobley is getting married in the autumn.
He proposed to his girlfriend Amy Smith, 25, on holiday in Scotland last year.

They will marry on Friday, October 10, and have their reception at Walton Hall, Wakefield, a beautiful house on an island in the middle of a lake.

Amy, who grew up in Alwoodley, is a regional support analyst for HBOS.
"We met at a bus stop," said Matthew, 32, "and have been seeing each other for over five years.

"We started dating after I helped Amy with a university assignment on databases. My own work is IT – I am a project manager for BT Global Services."

Matthew has again been selected to fight Leeds North-East constituency for the Conservatives.
