Ikky, a 45-year-old mum is a student on the sugarcraft and cake decorating course at Thomas Danby College. She and her fellow students have spent weeks sculpting and moulding mounds of marzipan and sugar as part of their end of year exhibition.
Ikky, a probation officer with West Yorkshire Police, impressed tutors with her intricately carved sculptures inspired by the glamour and elegance of the art deco period of the 1920s and 1930s.
"I don't have a sweet tooth so there's no temptation," she said. "I am a creative person and I love challenges."
Other student sculptures include a marzipan Magic Roundabout and a wedding cake in the shape of a Hindu Temple, complete with bride and groom sitting cross-legged in traditional dress.
