The day was opened by the headmaster of Gledhow Primary School, Stephen Archer.
Gledhow Care Home is heavily involved with community sporting activity and has committed to sponsoring the school's sports kit and providing cricket balls and trophies for the community sports and social club.
They are keen to sponsor local schools, businesses and sports clubs to help bring the community together.
