Folk guitarist Clive John will be performing at St Andrew's in Roundhay next weekend as part of the celebrations surrounding the church's newly landscaped gardens.
The concert on Saturday, May 10, at 7.30pm will be followed by a barbeque after morning service on Sunday, May 11

Concert organiser, Ian Slater, said: "Clive John is a composer and folk singer on the guitar. He is a soloist.

"St Andrew's concert goers greatly enjoy his performances and he is returning by popular demand. Everyone is welcome, so long as tickets haven't sold out. People can contact me for tickets on (0113) 2573522."

The concert will be followed by a barbeque after morning service on Sunday, May 11.

Rev David Pickering said: "There'll be a parade service at 10.45am, when St Andrew's uniformed organisations will parade their colours. Explorers, Scouts, Guides, Cub Scouts, Brownies, Beaver Scouts, and Rainbows are an important parts of the life of St Andrew's.

"After the service, from half past twelve until half past three, there'll be family fun with a barbecue, bouncy castle and games. Come and join us – ring Jane Murray on (0113) 2666641 to book.

"At 3.30pm until 4pm, we'll have an outdoor "evening" service in the new outdoor worship area.

Rev Pickering added: "We are grateful to God for our generous funders of the landscaping work – Leeds City Council North East (Inner) Area WellBeing Fund, Green Leeds Ltd, and the Westhill Endowment Trust (registered charity number 1104736), plus private donations. Generations will have these wonderfully landscaped grounds to enjoy."
